Local Harrow Property Surveyors Enjoy Harrow on the Hill May Day Festival

Woodward Chartered Surveyors played host to hundreds of visitors on Sunday 4th May for the Harrow on the Hill May Day Festival.

Themed this year on Edwardian Harrow on the Hill, the community and visitors were treated to a fabulous toe tapping 30 piece brass band, Morris Dancers, all manner of kids entertainment including magician Michael Gee and a classic Punch and Judy show.  Jonathan Edwards took an enourmous number of people on a guided tour of Harrow on the Hill in the Edwardian days, and West Herts Community Choir sang their hearts out.

Woodward Chartered Surveyors administration office, based at the beautiful Edwardian 1913 built former Town Hall, held a fascinating photographic exhibition compiled by renowned local historian and font of all Hill knowledge Don Walter, showing Harrow on the Hill throughout the Edwardian period.

Local Harrow on the Hill restaurants Cafe Cafe, Incanto, Blues and the Connoisseur provided a variety of sustinence, and many local businesses gave generously to support the event including London Building Renovation and Nim Design.

Congratulations and many thanks to the team including Elaine Gee Kate Farrar, Stephen Woodward and Stephen Cornish who put so much time and energy into giving us a superb day.  And to the Harrow Hill Trust members; Judith Mills, Jake Thomson, Victoria Peet, Mark Mills, Paul Donleavy, Suzanne Owens, Catherine Jaquest, Denise Robertson and a huge number of neighbours who turned out to help set up, clean up and put away.
